Turmeric give a burst of yellow colour and combines subtly with the ingredients of this hummus. Easy to make and excellent to have on hand in the fridge for a quick snack on the run.
- 2 x 400g can chickpeas, drained
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbs tahini
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- Place all ingredients except oil in a food processor and process until well combined
- Gradually add oil while processing until smooth and creamy.
- Makes 2 cups. Serves 10.
- Keep hummus in fridge. Excellent snack for work or school with vegetable sticks and crackers.
